SFS implementation timelines

The Standard Financial Statement launched on 1 March 2017 when several organisations began using the new format.
However, a transition window will run for around 12 months from 1 March 2017 to allow time a wider group of organisations to implement appropriately.

Today, 1 March 2017, sees the launch of the new Standard Financial Statement (SFS), an initiative designed to bring greater consistency to the way organisations assess people’s finances when they are in debt.

On 8 February, the Money Advice Service will begin a series of conferences for debt advisers across the UK.

SFS launch date announced

The Money Advice Service has today announced that the first Standard Financial Statement (SFS), will go live on 1st March 2017, marking the beginning of a transition period during which creditors and debt advice providers will move to using the new format.
