Delay to updated spending guidelines

The SFS methodology states that new spending guideline figures will be issued on 1 October each year.

However, due to the late release of the ONS Living Costs and Food survey, upon which the methodology is updated each year, the new figures are not yet complete and approved by the SFS governance group.

The next meeting of the governance group is due in early November, so it is expected that the new guideline figures will be issued to SFS members shortly after this meeting.

All SFS members will receive notification via email of the updated guideline figures, while MAS will take steps to promote the release of the new figures via governance group members and their organisations, as well as external communications where appropriate.
